Young Woman Had Seizure on Train, Wakes up outside with Money & Note

After falling ill on a train from Surrey to Victoria Station in London, a good Samaritan helped a young woman exit the train safely. However, he didn’t wait for her to come around and left a note instead.

27-year-old Eleanor Farnfield was traveling to London, Victoria, from Redhill in Surrey to teach a fitness class when she fainted and had a seizure.

Luckily for her, someone found her where she was.

When she woke at the train station, she didn’t know what was happening until she read a note that the man had left her.

In it, he detailed the ordeal and told her he hoped she would get better soon.

After reading his note, Farnfield took to social media to try and find the man who helped her, as she was left with only his first name, Tom.

Social media users quickly joined the cause and shared Farnfield’s posts about Tom, hoping he would come forward.

What Happened to Eleanor Farnfield

When Farnfield woke up, she was surrounded by train staff, and she also found a handwritten note, £10, and a coffee.

She was dazed and confused but read the letter, and it cleared everything up for her.

It also led to a social media plea.

In the note, Tom had written that he hoped when she read the letter, she would be feeling better.

He told her she had had a seizure on the train, and he had taken her off.

Tom mentioned that he thought the only injury she might have was from him stepping on her leg before he realized she was having a seizure on the floor, which he apologized for. He also wrote:

“I’m also sorry I can’t stay with you now, but here is a coffee to perk you up later and £10 to make sure you get a taxi home.

Sorry, I don’t have any more money, so I hope you don’t live far away.”

Tom wrote that he had contacted people on her phone and reassured her that medical staff were coming. Tom wished Farnfield a speedy recovery and ended the note with “Love, Tom.”

What Is Farnfield’s Goal?

The morning after her incident, Farnfield took to Facebook to share the note and find out if anybody could help her find Tom. After she shared the post, it reportedly received over 1,000 shares from Farnfield’s Facebook followers.

Along with the picture she posted of the note, she posted a short caption explaining her feelings.

After the incident, she expressed that her faith in humanity had been renewed. Farnfield thanked everyone who assisted her, with special thanks to Tom.

Farnfield joked that if she ever met Tom, she would buy him a round of drinks to thank him for helping her when she needed it most. She also said that some of her friends and family members were claiming him as their future boyfriend.

At the time of the incident, she was a part-time acupuncture student and has had several seizures in the past.

She said her family and friends have eagerly joined the #findtraintom campaign, saying they have all speculated about who he might be.
