Son Who Didn’t Visit His Mother for Years Comes and Sees Her House Destroyed – Story of the Day

I barely called my mother for years. Because I was working on Wall Street, I didn't get many calls.

In all honesty, they almost stopped. However, I had to visit her house one day to obtain some documents.

In the hope that she would be pleased to see me, I boarded the flight back home without informing her. But when I got there, the sight I saw gave me the worst goosebumps and chills I had ever experienced.

Everything was destroyed, torn down, and completely destroyed, including our house. Where had Mom gone?

! I repeatedly called her with hands shaking, but she didn't answer.

My fear was made worse by the cold beeps. I wept so much that I fell to my knees.

Had I really lost my mother in such a way? !...

Adam neglected his mother after starting his own life, going years without seeing her. He had to go get some documents from her house one day, but when he got there, he found the house destroyed and abandoned.

Adam was raised by Diana Evans on her own. She worked extremely hard to feed him and pay for his education, despite her difficulties.

He decided to attend a university halfway across the country after graduating from high school. Despite Diana’s sadness, she gladly sent Adam to New York to study and live there while she remained in California.

During his first few years there, they kept in touch, and he would call his mother whenever he had time. Diana never got to see Adam in New York during his college years.

Despite the fact that phone calls became less frequent over time, Diana still greatly valued them as their main means of communication. Adam called his mother to invite her over when he was about to graduate from university.

Hey, mother! on the phone, he said.

“Hello Adam, how wonderful it is to hear from you! How are you doing?

She exclaimed with glee. I’m fine, mom!

Because I will finally graduate in two weeks, I am calling. Could you please come over?

” He pressed. Diana was so proud to hear that, and she could feel her tears coming.

She would give anything to attend her precious son’s graduation march. Naturally, Adam.

I will attend. I wouldn’t let it go!

I am so happy for you! She glowed.

Diana continued to look for flights to New York after ending the call. She was surprised to see how expensive the flights were, and she realized right away that she didn’t have enough money to buy Adam a unique graduation present and a round-trip ticket.

To make some extra money, she decided to work as a babysitter. To get her money faster, she worked long hours as a babysitter.

She bought her ticket with excitement when she had enough savings and went to the department store to get Adam a present. Diana walked around the store for a while before settling in with a watch.

She wanted to give her son a nice watch because she realized that any professional needs one. She asked the salesperson to tie a ribbon around the package.

It is my son’s graduation present. He is graduating from a prestigious New York university!

She extolled. That’s fantastic!

You must feel such pride. Congratulations!

” As she packed the watch, the salesperson said. Diana went to New York with excitement a few days later.

Adam collected her from the airport and drove her to his campus, where the graduation ceremony would soon begin, together. Diana grabbed her phone with glee and began taking pictures.

She couldn’t help but stand and cheer enthusiastically when it was Adam’s turn to receive his diploma. That is my child!

She cried out. Adam met Diana after the ceremony and gave her a big hug.

Congratulations, son! As they embraced, she said, Mom, thank you.

He grinned and said, “This is all because of you. ” As he and his mother made their way toward the university exit, he said, “Let’s have a nice dinner now.

” Adam and Diana had a nice dinner together at a fancy steakhouse in New York. Diana was concerned about the bill at first, but Adam told her not to.

Mom, I worked part-time while I was studying. I am treating you to this.

He squeezed her hand and thanked her for all those years of taking care of me. Diana was crying.

She was overjoyed that Adam became such a nice man as a child. Son, I’m proud of you,” she said.

I also gave you something. Although it’s not great, I hope you like it.

She gave Adam the gift box she had taken out. He said as he opened it, “You really didn’t have to get me anything, mom.

” He was surprised to see that it was a watch. Mom, this is stunning.

He expressed his gratitude with a big grin on his face. I’m going to wear this every day to work.

I’ll always have you by my side this way. “That night, the mother and son talked to one another, took pictures, and simply took in the sights of New York.

Diana had to fly back to California after spending another couple of days in New York. Adam, when will you be coming home?

She asked after suddenly realizing that she was back living by herself. Mom, I’ll try.

I do have scheduled job interviews, so I am uncertain when I will attend. However, I promise to call,” he reassured her.

Diana gave a contented nod to that. Sadly, that promise was only for a short time.

Adam used to call his mother every other day, but eventually, the calls stopped coming all together. Diana showed signs of depression caused by her loneliness during one of their final calls.

She would reveal, “I’ve lost a lot of weight and don’t really have an appetite. ” Mom, you should eat.

Take walks in the park and talk to your neighbors, Adam advised, disregarding the signs she would share. Adam used to call his mother every once in a while to check on her, but he was too busy working on Wall Street and keeping his relationship with his model girlfriend going that these calls stopped being enough.

He made the decision to start his own business in New York one day. He needed California documents for that, which he couldn’t just mail to his mother.

He took a last-minute flight home and went to their house without telling his mother. But he wasn’t prepared for what he saw when he got there.

Their house was demolished and covered in dust. The grass lawn appeared to have not been trimmed in years, and the fences were lying on the ground.

With the exception of some broken furniture, the house was empty when he looked inside. Adam continued calling his mother, but she did not answer, so he went to the house of the neighbor next door to inquire about the situation.

When their long-time neighbor answered the door, he said, “Hello, Mr. Green.

” Adam? Are you there?

” He inquired. How are you using this space?

” My name is Mr. Green.

Where is mother? What took place to our home?

He said it, feeling both scared and guilty. Nevertheless, do you remember the storm that struck California a few months ago?

Our homes suffered extensive damage. Mr.

Green elaborated, “Your mother moved to a nursing home because she didn’t have enough money to fix it and said she didn’t want to burden you. ” What?

Why am I unaware of any of this? ” Adam said, astonished, Which nursing home is she in?

He pressed. He hurried over to the location once he had the address.

Diana was frail and in a wheelchair when he arrived. When he first saw her, he wept and said, “Mom.

” Adam? Where are you going with this?

” Diana inquired, I’m so sorry I didn’t pay you more attention, Mom. Standing on his knees in front of his mother’s wheelchair, he said, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me the most.

” He was crying out of guilt for years of neglecting his mother. Don’t be silly, Adam.

As she attempted to raise her son, she said, “Get up from there. ” Diana could not help but weep as he shook his head and clung to her knees.

She was afraid she would never see Adam again, so when she saw him in person pleading for forgiveness, she felt both moved and relieved. “Mom, I’m so sorry.

He said, shaking his head, “You won’t ever have to be alone again. ” He promised that he would live with you and take care of you.

Adam really kept his word this time. He took his mother out of the nursing home when the old house was fixed up completely.

He also asked his girlfriend to move in with them and decided to start his business in California rather than New York. The three of them have been happily married ever since.

Diana was cared for by the couple, and they made sure she was happy once more. During the time Adam and his girlfriend were working, Diana cooked meals for them and helped with housework at home.

What can we take away from this narrative? Always make time for those we care about.

We should always make time to check on our loved ones, no matter how far away they may be, no matter how busy life gets. Love from a mother lasts forever.

Diana’s love for Adam never wavered, despite her feelings of sadness and abandonment. Instead, she maintained her optimism that they would one day get together and see each other again.

The worm should have yielded to her needs and lived in California rather than NY. Negotiating one’s parents is a sin. The consequences can be devastating. My Mom was ill and single but she was never neglected I saw to her needs. Beautiful woman and a beautiful soul.
