Shocking simulation reveals what happens when you pluck a hair!

The master of spine-chilling simulations has released yet another video that might make you rethink your use of tweezers.

There are few things more annoying than an out-of-place stray hair—until you witness this shocking simulation.

Stray hairs can be a real nuisance, and in the quest for smooth skin, tweezers often seem like the perfect solution.

Most people don’t think twice about plucking, beyond the brief sting of pain. In fact, some even find it oddly satisfying.

During the late ’90s and early 2000s, ‘over-plucked’ eyebrows became a major trend, with many embracing the ultra-thin look. However, this unsettling simulation suggests that those who followed that trend may have unknowingly caused long-term damage to their hair growth.

Renowned content creator Zackdfilms, known for his unique animations explaining real-life phenomena to his 19 million followers, is the mastermind behind this viral video that is as fascinating as it is disturbing.

The video begins by stating that most people turn to tweezers for a quick and easy fix to remove unwanted hairs. But what happens beneath the skin tells a different story.

“Plucking actually rips out the entire root,” the video explains.

“This damages the follicle, which can cause the new hair to grow in at an angle.”

If that isn’t alarming enough, the simulation goes on to depict an inflamed, pulsating follicle where the hair used to be.

As the new hair tries to grow back, it twists in the wrong direction, unable to break through the skin’s surface. This can lead to ingrown hairs—sometimes creating a swollen, irritated bump that looks worse than the original hair.

Zackdfilms warns that repeatedly plucking in this way can permanently damage the follicle, preventing hair from growing back altogether.

According to the NHS, ingrown hairs aren’t necessarily dangerous, but they can become itchy, blistered, and even filled with pus. They are most common on areas like the face, neck, legs, armpits, chest, back, and pubic region.

In more severe cases, the Mayo Clinic warns that ingrown hairs can lead to bacterial infections, hyperpigmentation, and even permanent scarring or keloids.

And if this simulation has piqued your curiosity, Zackdfilms has even more unsettling content—covering everything from what happens if you’re swallowed by a whale to the hidden horrors lurking under bitten fingernails.
