Another year has come and gone, and we’re all a bit more wise,
Last summer’s warmth felt hotter, now winter chills surprise.
Not long ago, life moved so fast—each day a joyful ride,
Now we cherish memories that once filled us with pride.
We used to go to parties, gatherings, lunches with delight,
Now we stay at home, enjoying snacks in the quiet night.
Dining out was once a thrill; we couldn’t get our fill,
Now we opt for takeout, then pop a calming pill.
We traveled near and far, always seeking new terrains,
Now a drive too far can give us aches and growing pains.
And so, my friend, that’s life—my little story’s told,
So live each day and make it count, before we all grow old.
