Richard entered the building without being stopped by anyone on the staff. A number of other rough-looking men were seated at a large table where the men had joined.

One of them got up and walked slowly toward him. He growled, “The club is closed.

” Please return later. ” “I’m here to talk about Deidre’s debt,” Richard said.

”Oh? ” Richard caught the attention of the man at the head of the table, who stood up.

Except for the ugly scar that was above his left eye, he looked like a gentleman. Richard assumed him to be Mr.

Marco. How much is her debt to you?

” Richard inquired.

“ Mr. Marco grinned.

A good person, right? I granted Deidre an $80,000 business loan.

She was supposed to reimburse me out of her monthly profits, but she never did. ” Since Deidre had borrowed such a large sum, Richard gasped in fear, “I have approximately $20,000 in savings.

Richard put the GPS app in his pocket to silence the voice-guided directions. As he weaved through traffic, he pushed the Valiant to its limits, infuriating other drivers as he went and narrowly avoiding collisions.

Behind him, the sirens were blaring. Soon, Richard noticed a dirt road that deviated into the forest ahead, narrow and unmarked.

He abruptly turned and raced into the forest, leaving the road behind. Richard continued even though it was difficult to navigate the muddy trails.

He turned down a steeply ascending track that was narrow. After that, he abruptly turned up a small rise and felt bad about it.

Now the vehicle was stuck in a precarious position above a large river on a narrow rise. Richard attempted to turn around and go back the way he came, but the tires spun and lost traction.

In point of fact, the vehicle was slipping closer to the water. No!

” Richard tried desperately to engage the parking brake, but nothing happened. With a loud splash, the car’s nose hit the river, flooding the bonnet with dark water.

Richard realized how close he was to death upon reaching land. Thank goodness he was breathing.

However, he still needed to take action regarding the $80,000. Therefore, Richard returned home by hitchhiking.

He stated to the bank employee, “I need to mortgage my house. ” Additionally, I require immediate access to cash in my bank account.

While the bank employee processed the paperwork, Richard waited impatiently. When Deidre called him, he jumped out of fear.

Just now, some roughnecks from a local gang were here and inquired about you, Dad. “What’s going on?

” Inform them that I will soon be there. I arranged for your debt to be paid off for you.

As Richard looked into his daughter’s terrified eyes, the club was in chaos, and he knew he had to get her to safety no matter what. Richard and Deidre pushed over one of the tables and sat down in a corner.

Until the police escorted them to safety, they hid there. Fortunately, Mr.
